Hopefully there will be some positive resolutions formed and committed to. The city has devoted so much to other areas for the public. It is only right that our cemetery reflects the same pride for those who have served and lived Pleasanton and made it what it is today.

I hope they do not mess with it. The cemetery is a pioneer cemetery and looks very well for the type of cemetery it is. Those who have paid for plots there have paid an amount that does not pay for maintenance like other cemeteries have. If we enhance this cemetery, we have given a gift to a small amount of people. If those people want to enhance the cemetery they paid very little for to buy a plot, they should start an improvement district and pay for the enhancements.

I would hope that "Hope" who made the comments above would take the opportunity to visit our "Pioneer" cemetery as I have on numerous occasions. Even the pioneers would have been embarrassed with what we call our Pleasanton cemetery. The grounds are all dirt which becomes mud during the rainy season. Money was not a factor with many who selected this cemetery. Keeping a loved one close to us here in Pleasanton was much more important. Hopefully, we will make this final resting place one that Pleasanton can be proud of. I hope that "Hope" will reconsider and join us in this effort!
