Article: 74% of Small Businesses will Fire Workers and Cut Hours Due to Obamacare

Original post made by Defund Obamacare, Amador Estates, on Jul 16, 2013

More "great news" from the Democrat party who favors socialism vs. free enterprise, looks like we are headed for an absolute disaster ahead. No wonder Obama wanted to put off this 'bad news' until after the 2014 election. Remember, no Republicans voted for Obamacare. Now even the unions are beginning to have buyer's remorse over supporting Obamacare.

This survey was conducted online among 1,304 "Small Business Executives". That is a ridiculously small sampling of the same individuals that stand to make the most money in any firm and have little to no interest in ensuring their employees are covered.

Defund, your sky-is-falling hyperbole is disproportionate to the data and facts of this study.

Sorry, A Neighbor. The margin of error in that study was plus or minus 2.5 percent. So it was satistically significant. Nice try. However, I understand that most socialist Dems have a problem with facts.

You missed my point. What makes this study statistically insignificant was the small sampling, not the margin of error. With only 1,304 respondents, it does not qualify as a representative sampling of the opinions of small business owners across this country.

For example, if you said 74% of "socialist Dems have a problem with facts", but only confirmed that it was true in 1,304 cases, you would be significantly overstating your conclusions.

Neighbor apparently has no idea what margin of error means. Also unaware that nearly every poll is taken with a sample size approximately the same

Study was conducted by Chamber of Commerce. How were the questions formulated? Who knows? Is the 'pollster' biased against Obama administration? Absolutely.

Watch those small businesses 'take off' once folks who routinely have had to pay $1000 a month for health insurance are now given the same coverage for $300. Less health insurance costs, more money to spend at the bakery or ice cream parlor.

But, wait, I've got an idea. Let's have the House vote to repeal Obamacare. What? You mean they've already done so 37 times? Wow! What else have they done? Have they forwarded anything that improves on Obamacare? Oh ... I see. Thanks. For nothing.

See ya in a few years when 90% of people will be shouting about keeping Obamacare. Anyone remember Reagan and Medicare?

Hey AI, I see you must like that Yes, We Can" Obamacare Kool-Aide.

You're right, I probably should look at the "bright side" of the Socialist Democrat program called Obamacare that was rammed down our throats.

Nevermind that you believe "coverage" equals "care" (which it doesn't). How is your dental health, by the way?

The bright side is that now you may not have to wait for that tooth extraction...because you'll have an extra incentive to get it done. All you have to do now is to follow what the Brits do. Either go into your garage (or hardware store) to pick up your nearest set of pliers.

Remember, this is "progressive" health care authored by the "progressives."

After being justly chided for citing a small and biased study by the Chamber of Commerce, the defunder cites an anecdote from a lone demented pensioner in Great Britain. Another laugher. Doesn't take more than this to convince him!

I'm sure all of us are now convinced that the Republicans' alternative to Obamacare is superior. Wait? They have no alternative? Oh! Then what are they doing? Nothing? Oh, I see. But then what about the old goats like defunder who think repeal is a good idea? Oh, he's simply among the ignorant haters of anything Obama has done? Thought so!

funny, how the study is always slanted when the results don't go your way, al. Was your assumption based on your detailed analysis of the questions or your interviews of the respondents? You know what they say about someone who assumes.....
You must have searched long and hard to determine that no GOP healthcare plan has been drafter...here, let me help you out: Web Link

How's that hope and change working out for ya......don't choke on your Kool-Aid. You might need medical care...God help you.

Good point, Slanted. Thanks!

Hey, AI...don't take my word for it. How about doing your own search on the perils of nationalsized healthcare. Or if you'd prefer NOT to read, how about listening to someone who knows both the UK and Canadian systems very well.

In sum, if you don't mind waiting for months, if not years, for treatment that would ordinarily take 30 minutes, you'll be perfectly happy with Obamacare.

It appears OBAMA, himself, is having 'buyer's remorse' over ObamaCare. It is so impossible and unpopular, that he did NOT want all the negative news of how impossible and expensive implementation is, during 12 months implementation, that overlap with Congressional campaigns. So OBAMA's solution?? POSTPONE...UNTIL AFTER, AFTER 2014 CONGRESSIONAL ELECTIONS ! ! ! That's a really big clue just HOW much we, the people, are NOT going to like it !! I'd say that is pretty much real CHICKEN XXXX, aka political cowardice !
IF Obamacare is so great, he should want his team to march into the 2014 elections with pride. NOT, postpone, and sneak in telling us how GREAT it is going to be AFTER implementation !!! Shameful!

Lots of empty criticism from the same batcrazy old goat who posts every hour or so under a different name, even crediting himself for his prior post. (Uniformly twisted logic, with no substance, is easy to identify.)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall Republicans having forwarded any alternative to Obamacare over the past several years. They've got the majority in the House; why not forward an alternative? Because they don't have anything to offer. It's easier simply to vote 37 times on the bill that is not going to go away.

Just your typical ignorant idiots who hate Obama mainly because he is black and cry about and are against anything he proposes.I never realized how many far right yahoos there are in Pleasanton until Obama ran for president and won....and won again.It must be so painful and I cannot wait until they have to deal with a woman in the white house next named Clinton.I can already hear it.They would of course put up with a Palin because she loves guns and has very little to offer in terms of intelligent thought.Oh well...probably another 8 years of far right republicans blocking everything they can not because they are trying to improve the country but simply because they are fools with an agenda that is an embarrassment to the rest of the world.

Obama is a complete joke and an utter fool. Our foreign policy is a joke and we are no longer respected anywhere. Iraq is a disaster and Bagdad was recently listed as the worlds most dangerous city, we are losing badly in Afghanistan, Egypt is a mess, Syria is another mess, Putin just dismisses Obama as a child and says he is the President of Saddam and Gomorra, unemployment is at 7.6% unless you include those who have dropped out of the market then it is closer to 15%, 17 trillion in debt and climbing, gas over 4 dollars a gallon, Detroit bankrupt, GM closes 5 plants in Michigan and builds 4 in Shanghai, IRS spies on us, NSA spies on us, drones are used to kill american citizens, we still do not know what happened in Benghazi..............I could keep going but my fingers are getting tired. Nothing to do with race Mr. race merchant just utter incompetence.

yep, instead of being a 'joke', Obama should bomb Iran to get some credibility, return to Iraq, take drones out of the air and put more boots on the ground in Afghanistan, send our young men and women into Egypt and Syria. Maybe smack Putin around a little by sending a cruise missile past Palin's front porch. Domestically, he should demand that US corporations return to the US because, hey, that's what tyrannical presidents do. Put a cease and desist order on all domestic and international spying. Accept the blame for the worst American scandal ever -- worse than Watergate, worse than the 9/11 fiasco, worse than lying our way into Iraq because, after all, 4 Americans died after Republicans refused to fund added security. Of course, rather than contemplating the idiocy of such acts, it's easier just to cover up one's badly veiled racism by criticizing Obama for everything under the sun. 'Hey Barack! BART is still running! What about that!!??'

Hoops,clueless, and al,

we really have nothing to worry about because obama has made the presidency about as small as you can make it and significantly reduced the power of the office. he is just running out the clock now and enjoying the time he has left as his approval rating drops into the low 40's. I can hardly wait until we get Hillary Clinton into office and some level of capability and maturity. goodbye barack it was interesting now she has to fix your mess.

As I said a bunch of far right b.s. either racially motivated or just opinions by people who have no ability to see anything except what their shallow belief systems allow.It is interesting that you have no ability to see the reality in Washington where never before in history has there been such an organized movement in congress by the right to try to deny everything a president wants to get done.It is pathetic and is why the congress has an approval rating of about zero.My main criticism of Obama is he does not fight back and really lay it all on the line and fight.If he would go ballistic about the idiots like McConnell in the senate and the Right wingers in the house people would respect him more and maybe he could get more done.Too many speeches about how we need to compromise and not enough fire and really calling people out.It is such a sad situation when congress cannot govern because as McConnell said his goal is to make Obama a one term president.Really?That is your job as a senator?I thought your job was to get things passed in congress to make the country function better and peoples lives better.It ihas been proven without a doubt that the country does not matter.Destroying Obama is what matters.Block every appointment no matter how deserving.Block every piece of legislation you can no matter how important or needed.Force all the reasonable republicans to vote with you under the pressure of losing their primaries because of the far right zealot voters who will defeat them Iin the next election.What is good for the country does not matter.It is such an embarrassment.How did our country get to the point where people like Palin and Bachman and the like become important political figures?Believe it or not but I actually voted for both Bush's and Reagan.What the hell has happened to our system that Bush 1 would not even be a player in today's republican party.IWe are in trouble and is not because of Obama.

Hoops,

Like it or not Presidents are judged by how effective they are in getting things done and in that regard history is not going to be very kind to Obama. Do not forget that he had the Presidency, the Senate, and the House for the first two years of his Presidency and aside from Obamacare he got nothing done at all and actually talked so much and threatened so much he set the stage for what is going on now. We need a leader and not someone who just makes speeches and accomplishes nothing. Whether we like it or not the country is remaking itself before our eyes. I believe that within the next 20 years the US will splinter off into two seperate countries and maybe that is the natural progression of things.

Phil,
You are the same bubblehead who routinely publishes using many different monikers, aren't you? Tell us why we should not deduce that you are a ...
A few of Obama's accomplishments:
ACA (Obamacare);
Saved economy and helped bring auto industry back to life;
Got us out of Iraq;
Drawing troops down in Afghanistan;
Killed Osama bin Laden;
Repealed 'Don't ask don't tell'
Reversed Bush's torture policies;
increased budget for returning vets -- 16% in 2010, 10% in 2011;
Reformed credit card company bilking practices;
Cleaned up banks' exploitation of students who need loans;
Expanded stem cell research;
Killed the F-22 boondoggle;
Raised the level of intelligence in the White House 40 points over that of his predecessor....

But it's easy to ignore all this and criticize Obama. Why? Because he's an African-American president. Take your ... hatred somewhere else.

Al,

Why the names? It immediately disarms your entire argument. You start by calling someone a name and then when you cannot express yourself intelligently end by calling someone a racist. These are both signs of major issues. ... In the meantime, enjoy your viewpoints and keep them to yourself. Allow me to translate for Phil: He has no substantive response to my above statements, and so he takes the victim's role. Attempt to convince us he's not the racist his comments suggest he is? No, why would he? He is the racist that others and myself have claimed, and he has no substantive arguments to convince us otherwise. He's mired in his hatred of a pretty decent though far from perfect president.

Al, I can speak for myself. I am curious as to what you can pull out of this statement that makes me a racist in your view...

"Like it or not Presidents are judged by how effective they are in getting things done and in that regard history is not going to be very kind to Obama. Do not forget that he had the Presidency, the Senate, and the House for the first two years of his Presidency and aside from Obamacare he got nothing done at all and actually talked so much and threatened so much he set the stage for what is going on now. It sure seems to me that unless you can point to something racist in my statements then you are the one who is a racist for attacking anyone who does not share your views on performance. Seems as though you view failure as something he is not responsible for and if there is failure on his part it is because everyone is racist against him. Please explain and also let me know which of the above achievements you have listed above in your view are great accomplishments? Please no more names otherwise we are done here.

Let's be clear about something here, Phil. You don't exist. Your made-up name is a figment of your and our imagination. I don't know you, you probably don't know who Phil is beyond the fictional name you've attributed to him, and so there is no person there to offend or excite.

There are ideas expressed on the posting board, but who exactly is posting them is beyond our knowledge. Only a couple narcissists use their own name here, or at least we assume they use their real name, but really, who knows?

When you insist on shifting the conversation away from issues and toward your own poor battered fictional ego, you are effectively admitting you're unable to engage the issues that are on the board. Insofar as you're unable to effectively separate your expressed views/remonstrations (poor fictionalized you) from charges of racism, you only provide more material for others to consider; in so doing, you further expose the hollowness of your claims.

As for your badly veiled racist allusions -- back to two countries (what? with the confederate flag regaining popularity? and you waving it, no doubt) -- I'll not attempt to psychoanalyze you as so many of your posts have effectively pleaded for in the past. ...

You, along with 'others', have claimed that aside from Obamacare, Obama has done 'nothing at all'; you have claimed that Obama has 'accomplished nothing.' Your claims, and the claims of others, has been shown to be patently false. Now, it takes a certain frame of mind to look at Obama's past five years and make such claims. Maybe you need to deal with that frame of mind that houses such patently indefensible views, as well as your inability, as indicated by your denials, to own up to how that frame of mind blinds you to facts. I do not know anything about Phil except for his post here.I believe his response to my post was fine with the exception of saying Obama has done nothing but healthcare.I keep telling myself there has to be a reason Obama is not more in your face when dealing with the obstructionist right wing congress.I am really tired of his speeches asking for compromise and waiting for one pounnding a fist and demanding it.Lay it all out there and say how you are all screwing the American people with all your political games and self interest.He talks nice about the NRA instead of giving there leader a tongue lashing.He presents everything in a sound reasonable way when he is dealing with an opposition that will only respond to the fear of getting kicked out of office.Mr nice guy is over if he wants to get anything done.It is time to call people out in a forceful manner and put it all on the line.I do not believe he has it in him.We will see.
