Did I read that right? Possession of nun chunks and blackjacks is a felony while possession of a concealed firearm is a misdemeanor? What in the world is wrong with our legislators? Can't we elect people with half a brain into office here in California?

Called that one right, most of our legislators only have 1/2 a brain, that's the problem, and a bad case of sticky fingers!! How did Kaki Sushi have 4 IPads laying around?? Reading these police reports always seems like the victims do a little padding ?? No wonder everybody's insurance is so high.

Possession of a firearm CAN be a felony if the serial number is altered, if its near a school zone or if the person is a convicted felon. I am guessing the officers are well trained in weapon laws and likely determined none of those applied therefore he was arrested for a misdemeanor.

The fact that my tax dollars are wasted on arresting a kid selling weed-and cops who could be stopping a drunk driver from killing somebody are instead wasting our time and money on pot is a freakin' joke.

So Susan, the police are supposed to let drug dealers go simply to make you happy and look for a DUI driver? There are many laws they must enforce, DUI is only a small fraction of them. Me personally, if I lived in The Preserve, I would be THANKING the police for taking a drug dealer (likely attracting his customers to the same neighborhood) off the street. Although its only marijuana, it is still a felony in CA to sell it. I would guess Pleasanton PD specifically has 5-9 cops working a night on night shift. So 1 cop makes this arrest, I am pretty sure the remaining cops are still on the street to keep us safe (DUI arrests included). Also, in case you did not know, Pleasanton PD makes hundreds of DUI arrests annually and has many officers skilled in the detection of those drivers.

It's amazing how Shadow Cliffs and Lake Del Valle have become such scum magnets. We gave going to either place years ago. Also, I am very much in favor of the cops busting anybody selling weed. The drug dealers are at the top of the scum list.
