Several of my friends came last year from Reno to this event. They had been coming for years. After the way the hotels around Pleasanton treated them, they said they would NEVER come back to this event again. Here are people coming with gorgeous paint jobs on their very expensive cars and the hotels not allowing them to park in their parking lots. Asked them to park in DIRT. They also had to pay EXTRA to park their car in a SAFE place and pay extra to have someone guard their cars since they were broke into the first night. Doesn't that sound like an event you would flap your arms and get excited to attend?
Sue, which hotel(s) are responsible for the shabby treatment?
The Hilton in Pleasanton and the Marriott off of Dublin Canyon Road. The Marriott on Hopyard wouldn't allow them to park their either.
I would then contact the hotels home office. sometimes it does pay to bitch.
I don't mind the car owners that pay to show their cars but then we have the idiots that think they can park there cars blocking crosswalks and handicap curbs and driveways in the downtown area. The police just drive by and loo but never have I seen a car get ticketed. One time a car was blocking my driveway and I called the police and the cop told me I couls still get out if I drove over my grass, thanks officer my sewer pipe is right there.
I know have my friend give up their driveways and we block our street parking from these morons.
