I never did meet the late Steve Mattos but I attended his memorial service simply because we have the same name and we live in the same wonderful town. I met his lovely family and his younger son, age 13. I talked with the young Mattos boy and told him that I also was 13 when my father and coach of Hayward Little leage passed away. I told him how my fathers passing made me a stronger person and that to this day some 57 years later I still lead my life the way my father would have wanted me to.

This is so damn confusing. Why are they rerunning a seven -year-old story? It makes it sound like Amador isgetting a brand-new scoreboard now. Move on.
