The Pleasanton City Council will meet tonight to wrap up its consideration of Measure PP, an ordinance that would ban residential and commercial development on steep hillside slopes. The key issue to be decided tonight concerns whether a road is a structure or infrastructure, which could affect whether roads also would be banned on hillside slopes. The meeting, which starts at 7 p.m., is a continuation of a two-hour public hearing held two weeks ago and was continued to give those out-of-town during school spring break a chance to speak before the council. The council meeting will be held in the Pleasanton Civic Center, 200 Old Bernal Ave.
