I'll lay the groundwork by saying that I am a Democrat and my spouse is a Republican. In the last race, my spouse was a champion of Pete McCloskey, and while a Democrat myself, I honored that choice because of Pete's long commitment and track record for issues that I, too, espoused. When Pete withdrew from the campaign and put his support behind McNerney, I also honored that decision, feeling that it was definitely a better choice than Pombo. I was happy when McNerney won the race, and have been pleased by his track record and dedication to his constituents since then.
Yesterday, I received a slick advertisement in the mail from Andal, and wonder: is there any real argument for voting for him, other than Guy Houston's recommendation, questionable as that is in my mind?
Seeking real input, not simply baiting partisan arguments... please!
