I am very disappointed in Romney because I did not think he would try to appeal to the republican right wing after seing what happened to McCain in 2008.
There is no way the right wing would vote for Obama even if they did not like the republican candidate or perceived Romney as "liberal." So why is it that the republicans insist on appealing to a group of right wing voters? They alone cannot win the election! They need the independent vote, and independents don't vote for extremes.
