Is the State and CDSS still giving them another chance? I think they are waiting for a mishap to happen before they shut them down. There are other facilities like "Growing Room" who are also connected with the schools....Kids Country is not the only one the way Erbe is insinuating!! Your enrollment is going up because of the parents going back to work and they have no choice, not because of your ability to provide safe care for the kids Mr Erbe!!!!

I agree that the San Ramon Valley Elementary School District should allow short leases to the facilities. Why not put it on a rotational basis for a shorter term. The facility provider's are generally non-profit organizations that are paying their executives in six figures. It is a sweet deal for facility providers who are milking the community with high fees and mediocre services. Four of the schools run by Kids' Country are on the watch list of the Social Services department; that licenses their schools. The reason is because of loosing kids or they were left without supervision. It is scary to think that San Ramon Valley Elementary School District considers the service providers as tenants and turns a blind eye to the kid's safety and performance. As a parent if you ever have an issue with Kids' Country and you bring it to the Executive Director Chris Erbe's attention he will ask you to take your kid out of school and take a hike. Of course he has nothing to loose with his six figure salary and an annual long term lease until 2025. It does not take a wizard to see that his arrogance is nurtured by San Ramon Valley Elementary School District's long term lease guarantees.
