With 700,000 more Californians registered to vote today than there were two years ago, including a record-high total of nearly 37,804 registered voters in Pleasanton, voters lined up early at polling places across the city this morning to cast ballots in one of the liveliest presidential primaries ever.
One precinct in particular has been having its share of problems. Residents reported that a polling station in the multipurpose room at The Parkview Assisted Living on Valley Avenue was hard to find. That's because the address of the senior care facility is 100 Valley Ave. The location used to be known as Junipero Street but the city changed the street name and the signs to Valley Avenue a few months ago after the new Valley Avenue underpass near Hearst Elementary School was opened.
