As a preface to the following videoclip, I am reminded of a conference I attended when I was with a Big 4 consulting company. The conference was entitled "Survival of the Fittest" and it was referring to survival of companies. One of the key speakers was, of all people, the head of the SF Zoo who presented an analogy about which mid-sized mammals over time would be survivors in periods of severe change.
He asked the audience what mammals they thought would be the survivors in periods of rapid change. Many people guessed that they would be the muscular and swift ones like lions, leopards, etc. This zookeeper's answer was that it would be the ones that could adapt to many types of environment and could produce the MOST OFFSPRING. His answer was the coyote.
Now remember the OFFSPRING info above and check out this sobering video.
