Thank you LPFD and local police officers! I was very touched when I drove past First Street and Santa Rita over passes and saw you saluting with the USA flag in the air. As we drove by, I told my Amador teenager how important it is that we appreciate our FD and PD. Beautiful tribute. Thank you so much. I felt patriotic, compassionate, and deeply saddened for the families. It is going to be important for police officers to connect with the community so that we citizens feel a part of the "to protect and to serve" purpose. Thank you for serving our communities.

My family and I were so moved by the memorial service for the fallen officers. These officers and all other officers of the PD and FD are heroes and should be given the respect they deserve. To the family of those who died, there are so few words to say but know that you will all be in my prayers.
