For gosh sakes, do you know yow to do any reporting?
The union *last week* announced it had agreed to the furloughs.

Yet you state this:
*****
The Guild responded to the memo with a statement on its Web site saying the furlough would be discussed in contract negotiations on Friday.
*****

Local blogs such as yours fancy themselves to be the successors of the dinosaur media.

Yet you demonstrate time and again how local blogs lack a crucial element in being the news media mammals: You really do have to know how to be a reporter.

The Pleasanton teachers union is not seeing that the rest of the world is being effected by the economy.

Correction: "The Pleasanton teachers union is choosing to ignore that the rest of the world is being effected by the economy."

There main reasons that all major newspapers in the US are seeing a decline in subscribers and advertisers are obvious...although those in charge choose not to see. The main reasons are as follows...

1. No one is doing hard-hitting news any more. There are no true muckraking reporters. An the few that do are censored because the editors find the results objectionable or against the political mission of the newpaper.

2. Virtually all major news outlets are a just another wing of the Democrat party.

3. Why is conservative talk radio increasing exponentially in no. of listeners? It is because they are the ones who choose to do actual muckraking news reporting.

If you don't believe me, try investigating more democrats and democrat policies to reveal the truth...instead of being such a PR firm for wayward liberal thought.
