Vinny's 2 Go - when and why did this place close?

I'm not sure why it closed. But Vinny's did make great pizza and the owners were very nice. I did notice before they closed, that they weren't very busy and most of the time we drove by there they were never open.

I'm no expert in the restuaruat industry, but if an establishment with good food and good service closes, it closes because it isn't making any money. Ironically, the two comments preceeding mine both stated their satisfaction with Vinny's, yet admit, "I haven't been there in a couple of months," followed by, "...they weren't very busy and most of the time we drove by they were never open."
Good people of Pleasanton - if you like a particular business - SUPPORT IT! Support it by spreading the word, by eating (or shopping) there as frequently as possible, bring your friends, bring your in-laws, bring you dog and kids!!! But don't just drive by and wonder why they aren't open - they aren't open because we're driving by and NOT EATING THERE. We've got to be inside their doors if any of these sole-proprietors and mom-and-pops are going to survive crappy franchises.

Vinny's 2 Go! is gone!
As you all are aware of the prices in the Tri Valley, running a small business is no different. There are lots of expenses associated with running a restaurant and after 4 years we could not afford to continue. We thank all the GREAT customers who enjoyed our food and wish we had about 200 more like them.
Read Ron's letter above because he hit it right on the head. Being a sole proprietor is very difficult and not having a huge extended family makes it even tougher.
We did realize a few mistakes, the name being one of them. We should have been very clear with just Vinny's Pizza and maybe offer delivery. But that is another big expense.
To tell the truth, prior to opening, we never thought about places that closed either. I guess we felt that most restaurants just closed, and never thought of the economic reality.
My personal feeling is that the days of the individual restaurant owners is coming to a close. However, if enough people read and understand Ron's comments maybe we can delay that day.
My wife and I thank you all again.
