Redcoats

Original post made by Ari on Jan 1, 2009

Redcoats is good. It's cozy, the people are nice, and the food is good. The onion rings rock. The pasta primavera is excellent. Bubble and squeak is good comfort food. There's a lot on the menu that children would like. The bar area looks fun but so far I've only gone with kids, (sob!) We keep going back. Check it out, I think you'll like it.

It _is_ good. Bangers and beans is a filling meal; I bet your kids love it. And they do have a decent selection of English ales.

Cheers!

They sell can tomato soup with a cold biscuit and try to pass it off as Nouveau Cuisine? Uh huh.

Bill, try the past tense. And it's not nouveau cuisine and no such claims are made.

I'd like to know of a restaurant that makes tomato soup solely from fresh tomatoes, (no tomato juice, no canned puree or tomatoes.) Bill, where have you found that?

They charge extra for coleslaw. Save your money.

Why do people love to comment when they have no clue? They don't even serve biscuits! The soup is homemade from roasted tomatoes and I don't know any place that doesn't charge for cole slaw...is it the new ketchup or something? The people who want more than average food should maybe try something othger than the fried food (although the fish and chips are the best in the area). The grilled cod is amazing & the tri-tip sandwich is addictive! The homemade bread pudding is better than you can find anywhere. Try it for yourself!
