We should all be flying our flags today. I put mine up at 6am. Hopefully, Middle and High school teachers have integrity to honestly present the significance of the date and remembering those who died. The attacks should be shown in remembrance tv specials.

"Remembering" is 100% on target. Clearly part of why September 11 happened is that "December 7, 1941, a day that will live in infamy" was forgotten by too many. The leaders -- Republican and Democrat --whose job it was to never forget the illegal sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, clearly did, too.

September 11 and what followed affirms the saying that if history is forgotten, it is doomed to repeat itself. This is certainly a lesson that should be reinforced at every grade level.

Apparently only when a new generation of leaders takes over is there any hope that September 11, December 7, and stock market crashes will stop repeating.

If the firefighters really wanted the public to attend, this should have been better publicized... a couple signs on the street so at least neighbors could stop by.

Either they didn't publicize, or the P Weekly didn't, or I am getting senile because I don't remember seeing it in headlines of the "Express" top stories email. (There is a good chance I am getting senile. I just wanted to point this out).
