This will continue to happen, Pleasanton has no services, housing, food donation, support for any homeless individual. We have more and more homeless people living in Pleasanton with no where for them to get help.

Giving them a hand out doesn't give them help. If they really want to help themselves, get a job.

@Job,

I'm not saying this is the case here, but most homeless street people (about 85%) are mentally ill or have severe substance abuse problems. For psychotics and schizophrenics, I don't think employment is the real issue, and for chronic drug addicts and alcoholics, it would probably be a better idea to get them treated before getting them jobs.

Where do you suggest these people get their jobs, btw? Hard to get an interview when you can't shower and have to walk everywhere.

Wait! There's always Walmart and McD's, where they can work full time and still be eligible for food stamps.
