Pleasanton's very own Mr. Ken Hart and his son Klay of Hart Electric & Son, were on the job helping to remove the electrical from the old light and installing the temporary becon for this project. Great to see our fellow Pleasanton machanical tech / service provider giving back to the community they grew up in. Great job guy's!!

I think that this is a really important project. I look for the light every December 7th and it has given me opportunities to teach my children about the attack on Pearl Harbor and the importance of remembering and honoring those who have fought for and died for our freedom. The money is donated, not taxpayer, and I say, "Thank you" to all who have been so generous to the project.

Hi, The Beacon Light, I was there to witness the whole thing 06/11/2013. My father is "Pearl Harbor Survivor". His name is Mickey Ganitch. It was a beautiful sight, in fact I was crying a little bit when they lower it down. Like a child being separate from mother. I belong to Son + Daughter of Pearl Harbor Survivors, Chapter 5. We plan to keep this memory going. Every time I see the beacon light on, every turn it makes, for each veterans that lost their life at Pearl Harbor. Please help us with donation to: SaveMountDiablo.org for Beacon Restoration Fund. Thank you for reading.
