They are saved! Many thanks to Ptown Police/Animial Services for getting a really wonderful person out before he was to be on duty to rescue them.

Shouldn't the police be devoting their time to more important matters, such as keeping an eye on shady characters out on the street who look like they might want to steal a baby stroller?

So happy to hear of the happy ending for the ducklings & mama. Glad to hear the concerned citizen did not give up after first being told there was no one to help. It is amazing to think with as close to the wildlife and open space we live next to, that there is not more than 1 person for animal control.
There is also Wildlife Emergency Services which has an Emergency number you can contact them at for help with any injured/stranded wildlife. The 24 hr number is 1-866-WILD-911.
They are a wonderful group of volunteers that help injured/stranded/abandanded wildlif. They also have all the necessary permits from Fish & Game for handling wildlife.
