Seniors just found out that they were duped by Obamacare, Obamaphone and increased freebies for those who don't work. Social security is something that at least most seniors pay into. Hows the hope and change working for you?

you would be amazed how much seniors know...as soon as it gets warmer i plan to go fishing up towards sacramento...invite a few senior buds for din din and then we'll all have a very very special pudding for dessert!

yum yum plenty!

you would be surprised how well many seniors cope/adapt to change...that's partly why many of us are still around...

today i have some extra time so i'm gonna spend a few hours coming up with my survival list for illegals...

2 senior pals have agreed to join me handing out the flyer's as soon as the list is completed...

tee hee hee...

While it is unfortunate to the seniors to see their entitlements cut, the fact is that in their first few years of collecting social security they most likely got back as much as their entire working contribution.
Social security simply cannot be funded for so many years by those of us who will now have to work until we die. It was never meant to be the sole source of income, people were expected to save something for their own retirement. Typically of the entitlement mentality these days, those who cry the loudest about the cuts are the ones who spent every last dime of their earnings with the expectation that the rest of us would keep that old SS money coming, with COLAs.
The system should be stopped entirely. I would give up the right to any future SS money if I could stop paying into it right now. There will be means testing soon and those of us who have actually saved something will be denied any money at all so that those who spent everything can get it. Now just how is that fair?

Taxpayer...that would be great until Obama starts tapping into your 401k as he recently proposed.

Truth,

People already pay taxes on withdrawals from 401k plans; That's why they're knows as tax-deferred accounts. Obama proposed increasing taxes on upper income withdrawals.

"Obama's 2014 budget plan, unveiled April 10, includes a proposal to cap at about $3.4 million tax-preferred retirement accounts such as IRAs and 401(k)s."

i don't see why so many folks are complaining about seniors and others receiving SS benefits...besides, you're gonna die anyway, someday, so what does your dying someday have anything to do with paying into social security benefits for others? duh...now, GET TO WORK AND I MEAN IT!
