Twenty years ago I sang in the chorus for a performance of Handel's "Messiah" at Temple Hill. It was a fantastic experience. I just learned that my lifelong friend (and Best Man at my wedfing reception) Jay Trottier is taking over as conductor of the Temple Hill Orchestra. He payed oboe and I the French horn in high school orchestra. He is a delightful person and I know that the orchestra members will enjoy playing under his baton.

Why is it so hard for the media to state the full name of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when referring to it? Just curious!

seems to me that mormons have made such a fuss about being known as mormons and i don't recall much effort to raise the awareness of americans...is TCoJCoLDS the preferred name?

i've also heard mormons referred to as the LDS.

some folks state that the LDS is not a christian church but a cult?

how come you're asking the question and are you a mormon?
