This is a runoff election. Since no candidate received 50% plus one, the top two face each other in the November general election.

Karen Monroe had much better endorsements. See Web Link including two P.U.S.D. board members.

Not understanding the empty classroom that is the start of the Bowser's election web page Web Link . Not sure what the messaging was for 'vote for me and get empty classrooms.'

Karen Monroe did not have the support or endorsement of the teachers or CSEA members in her own county office. She has used her time as Associate Superintendent to campaign for the Superintendent's office while doing little to actually improve services the county offers. She is responsible for hiring her own friends for top positions with little regard to their qualifications.

Based on school board job performance evaluation, it's best that Bowser wasn't elected Questionable judgement at best in the school principal firing/debacle

Bowser probably was comfortable with the Oakland Tribune endorsement. I sent him an email and asked a question, he did not respond to my email. So, I voted against him.

Where are the evaluations? Looking at the website, and I don't see any.
Thanks.

I meant based on my own evaluation/ opinion. I don't know if there is a formal evaluation to read.

There were no good candidates. We just knew not Bowser, we never wanted him to be elected to the PUSD board but he was. We did our part and voted against him, and so did most of our neighbors.

Does this mean he will run for school board again? Let's hope not, we need better for our kids!
