WOW NO COMMENTS...This send a message...Increase the fares no one cares..

Can anyone remember when the bridge tolls were less than a dollar. And they want $7.00...what a bunch of BS. Our children and there children will be paying $20.00 to drive over these damn bridges someday.

Where are we heading...

Thanks for listening, Julia Pardini from Alamo

just curious why the have a shortfall? They know the cost of maintenance, upkeep, etc don't they. Anyone have a clue why they have missed the mark? Just curious. This is not to be facetious or mean. So I would appreciate only sincere people with the information to comment. It is not meant for people who just want to twist words around and be mean. Thanks so much.

I thought Bay Area bridges were suppose to be free after their bonds / construction costs were all paid off?

The tolls, fares, cost of gas, will continue to rise. People that need to get from point a-b will have no choice but to pay. Of course they could also relocate, or try to find work closer to home.
I think they should set the fare @ $10. Why? They will eventually get to that point anyway or ask for a tax increase.

They can also do what the Postal service does "forever toll passes" buy them now b4 the upcoming increase. I bet it would get them a surge of cash.

BTW -i don't agree with these rapid increases. Many people (my self included) have not had a pay raise in many years. It really makes it harder to get by when everyone wants the remaining mothballs in my wallet.

Why do they even bother to take a vote? I have never heard them deny any toll increase ever!!

Surprise surprise that the liberal loons would want to take more money from hard working citizens to be used for whatever bleeding heart project, probably not even related to real citizens.

I believe the reason for the toll increase is related to the cost of suicide prevention efforts/structures. It's the right thing to do.
