Make a Difference Festival is a HUGE Success

A VERY Successful "Make a Difference for Pleasanton Festival" was held on Sat, Jan 18, 2014 at the Pleasanton Library. The festival focused on Volunteering and Service. Thirty Four of our wonderful non-profit organizations, most of them based in Pleasanton particpated.
The event was Co-Sponsored by Accusplit and
the Community of Character Coalition
It is estimated that over 600 people attended, including community members and exhibitors. Many found new ways to volunteer and organizations were able to add new volunteers to their lists. With 34 exhibitors, the room was packed with displays and the large crowd added excitement and lots of noise to the event.
Delores Bengston of the Livermore Amador Valley Garden Club, said "Congratulations to your festival committee for hosting such a well-planned and successful event. The room was filled with so many of the community members that contribute so significantly in making Pleasanton such a wonderful place to live. "
Lisa Brown, Chairman of the American Cancer Society - Relay for Life event said "Make a Difference Saturday was a great event. We were able to get the word out about Relay for Life. Many people said they are interested in being on the committee, on a team or working the day of"
Joanne Remillard, Executive Vice President of eScrip added, "We were thrilled to be a part of such a successful event. Everything was so well organized from start to finish! While the size of the room may impact you for next year-as more groups will want to participate--we loved the energy and buzz in the room and the interaction between the community and the organizations as well!
