“Make a Difference day for Pleasanton” will be held on Sat, Jan 18, 2014 at the Pleasanton Library Community Room from 10am to 2pm. The focus is on Community Service and Volunteerism.
Exhibitors will show how their organization gives service and how others may also participate in giving back. The theme is “Get Connected, Stay Connected through Community Involvement”, the community is invited to this FREE festival, if you have wondered how to get involved, this is the place for you.
Over 30 of the leading non-profit groups in the city are participating including: Accusplit Make a Difference Programs, Alameda County CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates), AV Athletic Boosters, Amador Valley Quilters – Quilts of Valor, Alviso Adobe Community Park, American Cancer Society – Relay for Life, American Red Cross, Assistance League of Amador Valley, Blankets for Kids, Boy Scouts of America, Bundles of Joy, City Serve of the Tri-Valley, eScrip, Hope Hospice, JustServe.org, Livermore-Amador Valley Garden Club, Museum on Main, National Charity League, Open Heart Kitchen, Pleasanton City Library, Community of Character, Lions Club, Pleasanton Military Families, Rotary (Downtown), Pleasanton North Rotary, Pleasanton Police Department, Senior Support of the Tri-Valley, Special Olympics, Tri-Valley Youth Court, Valley Humane Society, YMCA.
