Be patient in the mornings!

Original post made by Foothill school mom on Oct 17, 2013

This morning having dropped my child off at the back of Foothill HS, I was waiting at the traffic lights to go right from Muirwood onto Las Positas. I would just like to say (hopefully she is reading this) to the driver who was honking their horn at me because I wouldn't turn right on my green light and run over the three kids riding their bikes in the crosswalk which they had the signal to do so, DON"T FORGET TO BRING YOUR PATIENCE WHEN YOU LEAVE HOME! Maybe she didn't know they were there I don't know, but she swung her car around mine and I thought for a moment she was actually going to overtake me and turn right straight into the kids but she went straight ahead. I could put your license number on here to embarrass you, but I won't.

I don't think that these "open letter" complaints serve any purpose. There is only an infinitesimal chance that the person in question is going to read your open letter. And even if she did she wouldn't care any more about what you think now than she did this morning. If you have her license number then talk to the police about it.

Did she flip you off? Because I've seen parents do that as well. I've also seen parents coming close to running over a teacher who was standing in the crosswalk, protecting children.
