Booming Pleasanton is good news for Realtors

Most Real Estate Agents (Not just "Realtors", who are Agents that are also members of a private "club" that attempts to control the multiple listings and keep fees high.)
will take much more money for even less work. Why?
Because they resist working for an honest hourly wage, and often try to be paid as a percentage of the cost of a house. They take more than the tax man! And none of that goes for the new Health Care. This is not related to whether the house is cheap or costly, or whether it sells quickly in a "hot" market, without much work on the part of the agent.
Now more than usual, sellers should NEGOTIATE the fees in advance. Or pay someone by the hour.
You'll save thousands of dollars! Enough to buy a new car- (maybe not an Imperial or a top end Lexus, like the Agent has!)
AND Why should a Seller pay fees for the Buyer's real estate agent, if they have one?
That's just paying double and a clear example of the fees not related to honest effort.

The buyer pays the fees for their agent through higher prices. They might not write a check, but they pay.
My good friend is a realtor and she makes ZERO if she does not sell a house. Personally, I would not want her job. She also said a lot of realtors are getting out of the business because the overhead costs are too high.
Do you negotiate your doctor's fees because he charges too much and drives a Lexus? Do you go to the cheapest doctor in town to save a buck? I bet not.

When was the last time a longtime Pleasanton resident and native could have afforded to buy at these prices.. greed drives it all! Let the out of country investor pay and all just smile! Sick. and yes frustrating to say the least.
