49ers get OK to start building new stadium in Santa Clara

A Santa Clara County Superior Court judge ruled in favor of the new 49ers stadium and its backers Monday, paving the way for construction to begin as early as spring, according to the Santa Clara city attorney.

Game day commute time from Pleasanton/Tri-Valley to Candlestick Park = 1.5+ hours.

Rush hour commute time from Pleasanton/Tri-Valley to Great America = 45 min.-1 hour.

So sorry to see "The Stick" fade completely from my sports memory but just as I was sad to see the Giants move to Pac-Bell/AT&T park I'm sure we'll all forget what a pit that place is once the new stadium is built.
