Urhan Habitat from Oakland is determined to make every city in the bay area alike Oakland! in that, they succeeded!

since when it is a right for everyone living in a place they wanted? shouldn't everyone have worked and earned it?

Lets call it what it is, "Welfare Housing". It is subsidized housing, and there are also no time limits so you can be taking 'welfare housing' for the rest of your life. Anybody who receives this, know this, and then there is no incentive to do better. Why would somebody who receives welfare housing forever want to make more money to move into a market rate home that costs more, and thus the additional money they make just goes to the market rate home.

social programs exist for a reason...lets not generalize about folks not having the incentive to do better, whatever that means?

dig deep and maybe you'll find compassion...now that American!
