Original post made by Pleasanton Police Department, Downtown, on Jan 4, 2012

The Pleasanton Police Department is accepting applications for its Spring 2012 Citizen's Academy! This is a great way to get an inside look at how police officers do their jobs. The 14-week academy will be held on Thursday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. from Feb. 16 – May 24. For more information or to download an application, go to: www.pleasantonpd.org or call Officer Ken McNeill at (925) 931-5233.

I attended this years ago and it was a very positive experience. It covers ALL aspects of the work of the Pleasanton Police Department, and you will gain much knowledge.

A young person thinking about a career in law enforcment, or someone who would like to volunteer to become a member of the department, will benefit greatly from the Citizens Academy.
