So we should use funds to turn Foothill into a freeway and make it even more dangerous? Sounds like a terrible idea and a waste of money. Many people fail to understand that the expansion of roadways often encourages more auto traffic and only exacerbates the problem.

Stacey is a registered user.

I think that downhill curve over by Highland Oaks Dr is pretty dangerous and the curve by Equus Ct too.

The point that Foothill needs attention is a reasonable one, people have died. The writer is unaware of the division of funds between City and School district. The City is responsible for parks and not for schools.

There are ways to address the high school traffic that would not cost much but have not been addresses. Foothill administration has not implemented car pool incentives (senior do not have provisional license restriction) there should be incentives to drive lower class-men.

The City traffic department should place bulletin boards that inform about school traffic and suggest non-school traffic take a different route during school start and release times.

If I had to bet, I would bet Foothill Road will be improved when the property west of Foothill at West Las Positas is developed. It will probably be a condition when the development plan is approved...

I'm betting this will include Foothill Road from the current
four-lane at Muirwood to Bernal. Wouldn't be difficult to accomplish - push around some dirt on the west side of Foothill Road, lay down some asphalt, and it's done... Might be a couple parcels on the west side, south of Muirwood, to contend with but "progress" never encounters a problem it can't handle...
