McNerney or Andal - any arguments?
Original post made by Curious on Oct 17, 2008
Yesterday, I received a slick advertisement in the mail from Andal, and wonder: is there any real argument for voting for him, other than Guy Houston's recommendation, questionable as that is in my mind?
Seeking real input, not simply baiting partisan arguments... please!

The amount of money for the McNerney/Andal campaign makes me sick. No more mailers!
In response to the question, I can't see any value in Andel either.

First the disclaimer -- we met the McNerney family before the first election and have become friends. I do not work for him or his campaign, nor have I spoken with him before making these comments.
Jerry's track record speak for him but more important to me is his accessibility and accountability. We absolutely do not agree on everything but he never fails to explain his position to me while listening to my arguments. Sometime we just agree to disagree. He seeks expert information when he does not have knowledge of something. He is not swayed by big money lobbying and stands up for his descisions. You will not be reading about any marital affairs or unpaid home improvements. Jerry exemplifies the ethical standards that are so lacking in politics. For that alone I am willing to try to see his position on certain issues.
Bottom line is that he does what he says and he has nothing to hide. No two people will ever agree completely so this is the best compromise out there.

Thanks for the good input; this is the sense I've had regarding McNerney and the confirmation is helpful.
