New Restaurant is . . . . . . . . . . . Italian -- Again!
Restaurants, posted by Downtown Diner, a resident of the Pleasanton Heights neighborhood, on Dec 13, 2012 at 8:23 am

The PDA announced that ANOTHER Italian restaurant is going in next to Fleet Feet. Really?? There are no other restaurants in this universe that will come to Pleasanton other than Italian? Will they at least have a few mani/pedi stations located throughout so that P-town residents can feel at home since no other businesses seems to thrive on Main Street?

Well, you can always go to the new Mexican restaurant that is going on where Amelia's used to be. That makes five of those, too.

Give the people what they want...

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised that the owners of this new restaurant would think that Main Street needs yet another Italian restaurant, but it's their money. We'll see.

We took our money and left you to wallow in your stupidity!

What's with all the anti Italian bigotry? Lord knows, if this was an Ethiopian restaurant, all the Obama lovers would be salivating, anticipating a plate of crumbs with a few spices.

Be glad ANY restaurant wants to open in this city or any other , considering the anti business climate your dear leader is promoting.

I would settle for a nice hamburger place, but consider ourselves lucky it could have been another massage parlor or nail salon, they are popping up all over the tri valley with hardly a whimper from the citizens, lets start worrying about these places and quit whining about another "Italian" or "Mexican" restaurant.b

Yes, any business that generates employment is good right?! It's easy to sit on our easy chairs and sofas and critique others who are investing in the community by opening a business. Some people will find something negative to say about anything.

Remember, USA is a country where one could realize their dream at owning a business and if one can afford to do so, power be to you!

As for another Italian restaurant: there are so many varieties of Italian food, from different regions of Italy, why not! I would love to see one that has a clay oven and makes wonderful gourmet pizza (unlike that of the chain in Dublin--so please don't say we have it already).

And as for a hamburger place: I would love that too. One that makes just plain and simple burgers, has an old fashion counter service, shakes and a jute box. Just dreamin'.

Great opportunity at the old Domus site - how about a dance hall with country/western one night, salsa another, tango and a bar and bits? Any one interested in that investment? I think it would be a wonderful. Dreamin' again.

Thanks!
