Stark Continues To Show Why He is Not Qualified To Represent

Original post made by Dave on Oct 30, 2012

Here's the latest disregard that Stark has demonstrated for his constituents. He was asked by KCBS for an interview as was Eric Swalwell. Despite numerous requests from KCBS, he refused to be interviewed. He has refused any and all requests for debates and has refused to let any of his constituents ask him any questions in public. The latest sighting of him was in Maryland, dropping his kids (who incidentally are receiving social security benefits, while Stark is worth ~27 million and pulling down a salary of &174,000)off to school.

His recent mailers have been deceptive and dishonest.

This truly is a person that has demonstrated that he is no longer fit to represent the 15th District

He has people going door-to-door leaving hangers - my teenager answered the door and said "Pete Stark - never heard of him. Is he related to Tony?" Then shut the door. HA

Pete Stark is probably the best example of what is wrong with our federal government. You really have to wonder about the mental capabilites of anyone that votes for him. His mantra seems to be "scr*w you, vote for me because you love me (as in one of his latest brochures), and I love vacuuming your wallet for every last dime".

Democrats running in the State of California never have to try
at all because dems will always vote for them no matter what.
All they have to do is put a D beside their name. They don't
even have to live here.

San Ramon Observer is a registered user.

I emailed Rep. Stark when I was interviewing his opponents on Blogtalkradio before the primary in June. I never heard back from him.

I tried to contact him again in August and reached his campaign manager, Sharon Cornu. She was responsive and offered to be interviewed, but Rep. Stark did not get back to me with a yes or no.

I noticed that after I emailed Ms. Cornu the listener tally on my Swalwell interview went up by eight to 44 listeners, which is still small potatoes.

Stark's base is in the more populated cities of Hayward, Fremont, and Union City. It's not likely that voters who have kept Pete Stark in office all these years are going to switch to Swalwell, and voters in the Tri-Valley won't be enough to change it.

Which mayoral candidate is endorsing Pete Stark?

Stark's mailer claims Swalwell would change Social Security.
(Doesn't mention Stark is collecting it!)
What is Swalwell's position?

In response to Bridled,
This is off Pete's site as to who is supportng him. It is hard to believe, based upon his actions that anybody would support him.

Jennifer Hosterman, Mayor, City of Pleasanton
Cheryl Cook-Kallio, Councilmember, City of Pleasanton
Matt Sullivan, Councilmember, City of Pleasanton

Information regarding Q. Swalwell question.
Stark continues to spout untruths regarding his opponent, Eric Swalwll. Eric has never propose changes to social security, other than suggesting that changes may be warranted to not allow multi-millionaires with salaries exceeding $170,000 to draw social security benefits for their minor children.

And here's another blatant exaggeration from Stark from one of his mailers.

California will continue to elect people like Stark , Brown etc. The current employment trend in California will continue. The very well educated and connected will continue to do well here. Those less fortunate will work at places like the new discount mall for minimum wage.

It is time to replace the old guard Democrats! They support the team of Stark, Cook-Kallio and Erlene DeMarcus. All union supporters, all puppets for their party and all out of touch with their communities.

Hard to believe anyone could support this failed politician. But...I guess the above mentioned people are all about voting along party lines regardless - or for public employee union candidates. Pete Stark was on the radio saying he hopes people vote for him even if his tongue ia a bit tart at times. I'm not concerned about Pete's tart tongue as much as I'm concerned about his lack of effort representing anyone other public employee unions.

Pete, every union in the state has endorsed me, is clearly out of touch with both reality and working class people that don't work for unions/pay union dues.
