Robert Murray of Murray Energy: "Obama will destroy low cost energy in America"
State, National, International, posted by More Coal, a resident of the Amador Estates neighborhood, on Oct 28, 2012 at 10:19 pm

Check this video out. It is an interview with Robert Murray of Murray Energy who talks about a group of his 500 coal miner employees who wrote a letter to Obama asking him, "Why did you lie in your ad?"

Murray states that the word "lie" is a very strong word. But they used this word deliberately because it was true.

Murray states that Obama has closed down 204 power plants in America already and that "he is the greatest enemy of the coal industry this country has ever seen."

Obama is destroying low cost energy in America.

I encourage you to watch this interview

I'm glad he is the enemy of coal energy. Coal is the dirtiest, most harmful energy source we currently use. Natural gas, nuclear, and hydro-electric, supplemented by solar, wind, biomass, and geothermal can fully meet our energy needs without any use of coal. Coal kills and sickens more people than all other energy sources combined.

We need to revamp the licensing process for nuclear power plants and strongly promote new plant designs that are both safer and more cost effective.

Neither clean nor renewable are moving forward fast enough to meet our growing population and replacement needs. Coal can act as a motivator. Stop excuses and foot dragging on nuclear expansion. We need to use more nuclear, more natural gas, wind, biomass, and geothermal...do it all.. NOW ! We can't wait forever. We need the cheapest, cleanest, and most efficient, that can meet our needs and deliver to homes at lowest cost now and in the future. Solar should only be rooftop for both business and residential. We should not consume any more masses of land covered with flat panels...a real assult on our limited earth surface...such a cruel, wasteful, ugly, ignorant, and primitive concept....all for 2% of our energy. I can't imagine more of those assults for such tiny contribution. Stick to rooftops, period. Get busy on all the other assorted power for our grid needs.

It is true, since Obama is owned by green extremes, he does lean to more expensive longshots. Of course his green expenses have been off the chart, with payoffs like solyndra, that waste time, focus, and money.

Coal is pretty dirty, alright. Throws lots of garbage up into the air, including radioactive impurities in the coal. Not sure how effective the newer "clean" coal plants are, but I suspect that "clean" here is a relative term and that a lot of garbage still gets pumped into the air.

We have an abundance of coal!!!! Extreme greens usually don't consider cost. Coal can serve as a motivator to move a bit faster in all the other areas to bring down the costs. So far, it seems the hardheads just stand their ground and saying No, No, No, to our long list of available resources.... screaming just stop using and close your business, stop all business & wait, just wear dirty clothes, or shower with them on and air dry.

It's past time to look closer, fine tune, improve, compromise, faster, faster. Being punitive and saying pay MORE and doing WITHOUT are NOT SOLUTIONS !! Get on with improving faster and using what is available. There should be 100 new nuclear plants under construction now !If you don't like that, start peddling faster, or shovel the coal. The American economy needs power!
