FHS Soccer Program Sports, posted by FHS Soccer Fan, a resident of the Lemoine Ranch neighborhood, on Oct 23, 2012 at 1:28 pm
I have a son who will be an incoming freshman next school year and I ww live in an area where he can choose either HS to attend, we were really concerned about him going to FHS due to horror stories about the coaching staff but I have been hearing rumors about the coaches finally leaving, is this true? I really hope this is a good thing for the new kids coming is maybe FHS will be more competitive.

FHS is a wonderful school, with gifted teachers and a rigorous curriculum for any child who wishes to excel. The sports programs vary, but with the new athletic director, things are changing. There seems to be more accountability from the coaches, and a greater sense of dedication amongst many of the parents involved with the booster club. Soccer needs some new life breathed into it, and let's hope things change. Also, BUSC needs to stop discouraging boys from playing high school soccer. In their effort to push more boys into the competitive 'academy', they are basically obliterating the high school soccer programs. What is sad, is most of these kids won't go on to play college soccer, nor become pro stars. What they are missing is an opportunity to play with their friends, and build school spirit. Let's hope things change in the coming years!
