Raeside out as Tri-Valley Convention Bureau chief

The Tri-Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has announced that Grant Raeside resigned from his position as president and chief executive officer effective Sept. 10.

I wonder if San Ramon hotels pulling out of the CVB had something to do with his leaving. The hotels here have been trying to get more promtional value from the CVB for years. They contribute the most money but got the least return on investment. I hope whoever takes over is more sensitive to that.

What does the board know about running a Convention bureau..Look at the qualifications of the board members.. One runs the fair grounds.. This is a political appointment and one needs to be a A..kisser of the board to succeed.
