Apparently the East Bay Regional Parks District will be discussing the future of the Water Slides at a public meeting in Oakland, on Thursday Sept 20 at 12;45 - when many interested citizens are at work.
Baffling as to why not closer?
"Staff will present findings and cost estimates regarding continued operation of the waterslide facilities at Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area. This presentation is a follow up to the request by the Board Operations Committee to have independent engineers provide a more thorough cost analysis prior to issuing a Request for Proposals for renovation and/or complete replacement of the facility."
