What happened to the WalMart Neighborhood Market? Around Town, posted by Lee, a resident of the Pleasanton Meadows neighborhood, on Sep 12, 2012 at 1:04 pm
Our house has been waiting for the WalMart Neighborhoold Market that was going into the empty Nob Hill location on Santa Rita Road all summer.
What has happened to that plan? Nothing has been posted on the doors for us to see, and nothing I have seen in the local news about it either. Anyone know when it is going in?

I hear that this gigantic shipmnt of foods from China that will be used to stock up their shelves has been delayed, hence the store not have opened yet.

Jeri is right the date is February 2013 for the opening of the one on Santa Rita in the old Nob Hill store. They said they (Walmart legal) are considering a challenge to the denial of the expansion to their existing facility now that the city approved Safeway and the gas station off of Bernal and Valley. Looks like our council may have stepped in it again.

I apologize if this has been asked before, but why hasn't Trader Joe's jumped on an opportunity to relocate here? Everyone knows their parking is a nightmare and their store is too crowded. This spaced offered solutions for both problems. I find myself going to Livermore location more and more and I am sure I am not the only one.
