Good job by alert citizens and responding officers!! As a former deputy sheriff, I can tell you that the crooks do talk in jail about where it is easy to get away with crime -- and where it is not.

If the rest of Pleasanton reacts as these neighbors did, most crooks will choose other places to "work."

My bicycle was stolen from my open garage in a span of about 10 minutes. Wednesday September 5th at 4:45. We files a report with the Pleasanton PD and they informed us of a rash of these types of thefts in Pleasanton and Livermore.

Mark, arm yourself and shoot to kill. [Removed because it did not pertain to the issue being discussed]

Be sure to arm yourselves. Keep multiple guns in each room. That way, when the theives enter and ransack your home, you'll have given them a nice stash of armaments to help further advance their careers.

Does the city have a fund to compensate individuals who deal with the daily stress of not knowing whether they will be faced with potentially life-threatening situations, even after they retire?

I was impressed by the quick response and thorough job the Pleasanton Police Dept. provided re: the Blacow burglary attempt.

The thugs in question ran thru my backyard as they were fleeing the Blacow residence (running into my wrought-iron pool gate and making all kinds of racket along the way). They didn't get very far at all before the police apprehended them.

I am very thankful for the Pleasanton Police Department and their concern for our safety.

The PPD is EXCELLENT! VIVA LA POLICIA! VIVA!

Yes, it's bad enough that the perps allegedly burgled a house. But making all kinds of racket in their escape efforts should earn them at least another 40 years in prison.

Ah, Mitzi. Or should I say CASANOVA FRANKENSTEIN????? Well done, both on this and the 'abortion' post! Had me goin' I must say.

You're on a roll lately. I found your comments on the fascist jimfo's godline to politics thread to be extremely prescient and entertaining at the same time.

You've got some imagination!
