just noticed that Livermore and Pleasanton Police changed their radio frequencies--does anyone out their have their new ones?

i heard their new system is a digitally encrypted signal so it doesn't matter anyway. even if you knew the frequency it would just be a garbled mess.

Thanks Tom-I found that out right after I posted this-off I go to buy a digital scanner for $500.00!

You may want to save your $500. If the police are using digital encryption, then you won't be able to listen in to police communications any more. I'm surprised that they didn't start encrypting communications years ago, since the bad guys were able to listen into police communications, too. Not anymore. Unfortunately, you won't be able to either.

Actually you can listen you just need the right type of scanner. Radio Shack PRO106 works great !
