The government should regulate it. In its current form, it does more harm than good and is a waste of time.

I think the government should keep its Mitts off of my Facebook! If FB is allowed to do anything it wants, such laissay fair competition would drive down gas prices at Safeway and ensure our privacy. Also we should get rid of seatbelt laws and defund our schools. I own the book, after all!

As a teacher in the district, I firmly believe that Facebook is a complete waste of time. So many students have told me that while their parents feel they are using laptops in their bedrooms to work on homework, they are actually on Facebook or a variety of other social media (usually parents will respond with "My child would never do this").

I can't remember the commercial (car company?), but they hit it right on. Their kids are living with them, thinking they are doing their parents a favor. They claim the parents have no life, yet they are on Facebook looking at pictures of dogs. Meanwhile, the parents are out mountain biking.

In 10 years, we will have a generation completely reliant on social media. While it has its points, these kids will also be less able to deal with real life situations. It will be a problem

To Waste of Time. Ditto. This was always a comment that parents would use as an excuse to the Homework Policy. There was too much HW assigned (excluding AP) for their child, and that is why they were on their computers all the time. Not that they were doing anything else but homework. Really?
