The beach at Shadow Cliffs has posted warning signs about the water quality but it's not bad enough to close the swimming area, which has been popular during the recent high temperatures.

That's gross. I always knew the water wasn't looking too good. Now we have proof of it. There has got to be a better way to ensure that the water stays healthy. Tomorrow there is a tri for fun triathalon at shadow cliffs! They will have to swim in the unhealthy water!

This is actually disgusting. I would not want to be someone who has trained for the Triathalon. One of our friends did it a few years ago but we would certainty warn him if he were doing it this year.
How does the lake become infested with eColi, anyway?

My 3 daughters just tested positive for eColi. Please have your child checked if they have any problems using the restroom (burning sensations or need to void excessively). The doctor's in-office urinalysis did NOT catch it. When the sample went out for a culture, it came back positive and the kids are now on antibiotics.
Please ask your children if they are having difficulty urinating and tell you doctor where the kids have been and about the water warnings.
