Say No to Measure B reauthorization-transportation tax
Around Town, posted by Democrat, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Jul 25, 2012 at 2:59 pm

With the out of control Board of Supervisors on Alameda County asking taxpayers to increase taxes for Measure B, a sales tax revenue-supported effort to improve transportation in the Tri-Valley, it is time to say No to all of this ridiculousness.

MTC and ABAG now want every Alameda County driver to be forced to carry some sort of mandated tax-o-meter and be taxed .10 cents a mile.

With the State suddenly finding $54 million in suplus funds it had hidden, it is time to say a no to any more tax increases.

Say No to Jerry Brown's tax initiatives, Alameda County tax initiatives and each and every other tax initiative on the ballot this fall!

ABAG, et al act like drivers get in the rat maze every day for fun. HELLO ! It's not a choice. The less you have the longer your drive... no weekday penthouse with an elevator to your job. Get real.

I use to have a job that I had to drive a long distance to a remote location, not my choice. Location changed every year !!

Tax on both gasoline and distance....ABAG LOVES that....Shame on nasties who don't use dirty, dirty electric cars.

SCREAM ! ! at the insanity.

No money for this until a parcel tax for education passes in Pleasanton.

Measure B will help with BART.

Democrat, a resident of the Another Pleasanton, you are not a Democrat no more than I am a Republican. Shame on you.

"Out of control?" I spoke with Supervisor Haggerty about the Measure B and it made sense. There's no out of control.

"suddenly finding $54 million in surplus funds it had hidden," that was the state park system. You are right, is was sudden but you failed to identify which part of the government.

"to be forced to carry some sort of mandated tax-o-meter " was a idea that floated around and, rightfully so, shot down as dumb.
