1) Cholo from Livermore is not a Mexican or illegal immigrant
2) Jerry from Oak Hill likes popcorn
3) Posts are not authenticated which means the author might not be who they claim to be

Hey Stacey,
We haven't had a "real" popcorn thread in quite a while. Why don't you start something really, really controversial. This political stuff is becoming stale...:):)

So you really are married to Cholo -- how else would you know? Does Cholo know about your thing with Jerry? Offended??? Surely you jest. Why would anyone risk offending others when they could be found out? Oh, right, they can't be found out cause there is no accountability due to non-authentication. That is exactly why I theorize that many drivers are so rude. They do not personally know those they treat rudely and know they will not likely ever meet again. Same could be said about people who scream at customer service reps on the phone. People just have no desire to treat others with respect, what a shame. Of course, the rude posters must be from other towns as no one in our fair city would ever flame anyone anonymously . . . . .

Be nice, take the High Road.
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina! We fled to Madrid, then to the Euskal Herria (Basque Country) and eventually moved to the UK/London. Eventually, we came to this magnificant country and we were granted political asylum. HIP HIP HOORAY! ps I love Mexico and I'm on the side of illegal immigrants...forever forever forever!
I like Trader Joe's carmel corn, above all!
I know that there are lots of lonely hearts in Plutonia but I say
Shut Up because your life could be worse.
Jerry and I are on the side of the law...sorry sad sacks, that's the way it is.
Tip for the day: Filler-up! hahahahahahahahahahaha...

Read the writings of the journalist Jacobo Timmerman if you want to understand Argentine history, the disappeared, and those who fled. My father was disliked by the generals for helping publish propaganda/literature against the military regime and we split when we found out that we were about to join the disappeared.
I'm thinking of renting out my home and trying to get into low income housing in Pleasanton. If I'm slick enough, I'll pull it off! Tee hee hee, tee hee hee...
I love reading stories about people getting busted! So funny funny funny...keep up the good work you stupid crooks! hahahahahahaha...

There's a movie, (can't remember the name) available on DVD, about Argentina in the 1970's, when people who those in power thought were against them were kidnapped from their homes, incarcerated and/or killed. There were photos in the newspapers for years of mothers in Argentina gathering with photos of their kidnapped children in a plaza. We had new students from Argentina in our high school during the '70's for this reason.
My grammar is pretty bad in that paragraph.
There is something really weird about Cholo. Is Cholo male or female?
Posted by Cholo, a resident of Livermore, on Oct 3, 2008 at 5:57 pm
Argentina has a long and ugly history of genocide that few want to discuss in detail. People have always disappeared because of the Nazi mentality of corrupt political/military regimes. The mere perception of disloyalty has always been enough to get any citizen killed. The writings of Jacobo Timmerman are detailed and accurate. The movie about the disappeared is ok but limited in scope. Timmerman is the best source of accurate information. My father was a friend of Jacobo Timmerman. Timmerman was a great great man!
Ken, you sure know how to tease a person! Weird, NOT! Male or female? How come that matters to you?

Cholo,
When you write without malice you seem intelligent and you are entertaining. Perhaps some of the nastier and disjointed posts are imposters. You have my admiration for your trials, my life has been so easy by comparison.

resident, I've had a good life, especially in Europe and the USA! Franco was alive when we arrived in Madrid so we soon departed and settled in northern Spain in the small Basque city of Donostia. London is an international city and welcomes political refugees from all over the world. London is where I studied English!
Vice President Cheney reminds me of all the military dictators that have ever lived: Hitler, Tojo, Pol Pot, Juan Peron, all evil.

Cholo, does this mean you did not vote for the shrub? And you might not be a no-brain-for-McCain? I could really get to like you. Now please keep the rants and wierd postings to a minimum.

Your suggestions are a bit too wacky for me. I enjoy all the sh_t 'n noise. Besides, I am mostly curious about how to about boost my popularity at the club, not being nice!
In case you haven't noticed, lots 'n lots 'n lots of posters are mean spirited, shoot from the hip and love love love to harm the innocent!
A few are fine folks, but in my opinion, not many! Sorry mes petites, that's how I see it.
Now PALIN is indeed an air head. John, has one foot in the grave. He's not gonna win so why all this fuss?
I think that the present mayor must be nuts to hold a wild bird captive. I could teach that "B" how to make falcon tamales but No, she wants to study falconry.....sheeeeeeeeesh.

I gotta say, I've lived in Pleasanton 17 plus years, but if I were just thinking about moving here, and read this blog to get a feel for the "character" of this town and its residents, I'd have to think carefully about living and raising my kids in Pleasanton.
Respect? Honesty? Compassion? Integrity? Responsibility? Self-discipline? A "community of character"?
If this blog is any indicator of Pleasanton's true character, we have a long way to go.
Posted by Consensus, a resident of the Pleasanton Meadows neighborhood, on Oct 5, 2008 at 12:06 pm
To think that the 6 or 7 folks who post here regularly (and Cholo is from Livermore),represent anything close to a community consensus would seem pretty silly don't you think? 65,000 plus residents live here and we'll listen to the few loonies who don't realize that they are simply providing entertainment for others to read.

Ken,
I have been analyzing Cholo's comments for some time now. Cholo is most likely a woman, although she may be a gay man or a male to female transexual. She is from the southwest, Arizona or New Mexico, not Argentina. She is single and has had numerous bad relationships, some which involved physical abuse. She hates all men therefore takes glee in the arrest of any man on any charge. She only completed 9th grade, max, which explains the Sophmoric behaviour. She has spent time in jail and in mental hospitals. She is relentless and delusional and won't go away. She will post a rebuttal to this post, probably within minutes of it's posting making rude and insulting comments.

Once a profiler always a profiler! Do you have a neighbor who works for the FBI? Oh my...oh my...I had no idea that you like to profile some bloggers..."for quite some time now."

Back to the topic of the original post....
I have a number 6 and 7 to add to the guide:
6. Expect "attack the messenger" responses when the poster cannot actually debate and counter the points made by someone.
7. Expect "you don't have a right to criticize because you do this or do that blah..blah..blah" responses that attempt to shame a poster from expressing an opinion.

And you notice how the U.S. did not send troops to Argentina. It's obvious we don't send soldiers to countries because they're headed by bad men who are killing people. There are other reasons. Therefore, getting all patriotic about having our soldiers in a country is not warranted, because we're never there to 'save' people from a bad guy. There have been many bad guys that the U.S. did nothing about.

Greg, there was a disproportionate number of Jews that opposed the military rulers during the Dirty War in Argentina. Thousands and thousands of Jewish doctors, lawyers, bankers, teachers, psychologists, social workers, artists, students, journalists, intellectuals, etc. disappeared and so did their newborn babies. The babies born to mothers who we about to disappear were given to the families of the wealthy Nazi's.
There is a very long history of Anti-Semitism in Argentina. There is also a long of history of multiple military coups. Whenever a military coups have taken place, there is an increase in anti-semitism.
Most of the Jewish population lived in Buenos Aires. Many came to the US and others fled to Israel and Europe. My father knew many Jews in the Basque Country, Spain. When they died, they were buried in Jewish cemeteries. Even in Europe today, it is difficult to find the Jewish gravesites in Bilbao. Why, because Basque Jews are a secret. Still, if you ask around, you will find a small Jewish cemetery in Bilbao. It is a good site to visit.
