We are in the process of getting a home in knollbrook drive. I am a little bit concerned about being too close to the waste water facility. I was wondering if anybody has some information/comment regarding any hazards, odor problem. Does this have a negative impact on home resale values in that neighborhood?
Also I have heard of some foundation problems in valley trails area, does anybody know if similar problem exists in knollbrook drive area.

The Val Vista neighborhood on the other side of the 680 highway apparently sometimes gets odors from the water treatment plant and I personally remember detecting some odors from the plant on some hot summer days when I was at the Val Vista park. But I've never heard of any odor problems on the other side of the 680 highway where Knollbrook is, nor have I ever personally detected any odors from the plant when I was in the area of Knollbrook.
Some Val Vista and Valley Trails houses reportedly have foundation problems, but those are the only two Pleasanton neighborhoods that I know of that have issues with foundations.
No issues with the Knollbrook area as far as I'm aware.

Your neighborhood on Knollbrook Drive is West of the waste water facility, and with the winds almost constantly going West to East, you should never smell anything from the facility. I understand that improvements have been made at the facility to cut odors that may escape. And on your street, you are on a hillside, probably on very stable ground, unlike Valley Trails, Birdland and other valley neighborhoods, where our ground is clay and former marshland. Foundations in the valley may sink or move because of this.

In California (and most states) the required credential is issued by the State as Real Estate Agent, or Broker.
"Realtor" is a privately owned title, available only to paid members of a private club. Their goals, among other things, were to try to control the multiple listings, and prevent people from providing services to the public based on the time it takes, rather than a high percentage of the sales price.
They'd like you to think that you need a "Realtor", but you don't.
