patriot, please explain how our tax dollars spent on SS, Medicare an defense keep dems in power? All they are trying to do is divert money from these necessities.

I don't care whether it's a political Tea Party rally or not. As long as they're serving corndogs and pickled eggs, my family will be there.
We've never been to the museum so maybe somebody can tell me. Is the Tea Party event going to be outside or inside? Wifey, kids and me want to know whether shoes are mandatory.

Jim your right let's take back our country from the corporations and the right who have pitted working people against one another.the perfect example is the people whining about people who have benefits and good working conditions. Since when has that been bad. Maybe some of you should fight for those benefits as well then we all succeed. Not just the few.

Steve,
I don't know, that is why I was asking. I can read at a pie chart or bar graph just like the next guy, and the bulk of the money spend by the federal government is in Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, defense, and interest on the debt. The biggest growth in spending is projected to come from Medicare and Social Security. If a person is worried about too much spending, those are the programs that have to be cut. The rest of it doesn't amount to much. You could cut everything else to zero, and we still wouldn't balance the budget.

This is NOT a political event!!! Please allow a fun old time tea party for kds to enjoy actual tea, scones, and fun activities! This is a FREE event run by Museum on Main and has nothing to do with politics!

Come on people, we moan and groan about children having nothing to do , and parents not spending time with their kids. Here is an example that some people are stepping up to the plate and doing something for the whole family. There should have been NO!!! Politics on this blog at all. Love the Museum
