Yes, I am supporting Pete Stark along with the Democratic Party, who is supporting Pete Stark.

The Independent reported that Swalwell voted Yes to supported the EIR to develop the pristine Doolan Canyon, open space between Dublin and Livermore, with housing between Dublin and Livermore. Dublin violated the MOU which Dublin signed saying it would be open space.

The Independent also reported that Swalwell has taken considerable contributions from the Lin family and James Tong, developer of Oak Grove and East Dublin, who are currently bulldozing the hills and ridgelines of East Dublin building yet more houses on ridgelines and hills of East Dublin.

Why would someone want to vote for someone who takes campaign contributions from people currently suing the citizens of Pleasanton who previously sued the citizens of Livermore as well as the citizens of Alameda County?

I don't trust Eric Swalwell.

The Independent also reported that Swalwell was the only councilmember who voted no on a proposed development in Doolan Canyon. How can anyone make such a decision without having all the facts that an EIR would report?

And the Independent reported that Stark thinks that now is not the time to be paying down the national debt because the money is needed now for health and education programs. He is quoted, "When the country grows rapidly and unemployment is low, then it's time to consider how to lower the debt." Yet absolutely nowhere in the interview does Stark present his plan for growing the country rapidly and lowering unemployment.

And this is the main problem with politicians today on both the right and the left. No one is talking seriously about the subject of jobs. Guess what, the country isn't going to grow rapidly. We're beyond that phase. Stop with the lip service. No, rich people don't create jobs either, especially when taxes on non-productive investments are too low.

Please get your facts straight. You are being "snookered" by the untruths that Pete Stark has thrown out there. The claim that Eric Swalwell has "taken considerable contributions from the Lin family and James Tong" is untrue and when Pete Stark made that outlandish claim in the candidate forum, hosted by The League of Women Voters, he was forced to apologize, apparently only after being threatened with a lawsuit for slander.

After reading the facts in the original posting, my question would be to you; How could you trust Pete Stark?

Remember there are three candidates running for this office, so if your not enamored by either Pete Stark or Eric Swalwell, there is another choice out there.

I certainly never did want him. He's only there because ignorant and uninformed are allowed to vote too ! Not all voters are informed voters !
