If we now have to appoint someone to the Board of Supervisors to make sure minorites are represented, here is a novel idea. Appoint a Republican!

Hello! Haven't we had enough of the drug taking, drug dealing, shoplifting, bribe taking,rule breaking, spouse cheating,DUI getting Democrats that are making the news on a daily basis?

The point here is that a responsible capable person is appointed to take office and respect the chair they sit in. Why "Latino" it's not about ethnicity, it's about who can represent "professionally" and take the job seriously, with experience and a successful track record.

After doing a bit of research on this CEO Jose Duenas I found he shares office space with a cannabis club... How serious can this office possibly be?

"At the board's meeting last week, Jose Duenas, the president of the Alameda County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, said the board shouldn't appoint Steele and instead should appoint another Latino to replace Lockyer, who is Latino."

During the Supervisorial Redistricting process last year, Ms Lockyear's comments regarding the process and the proposals were to make sure that her District was not being touched so that her Hispanic constituency would remain intact. She was assured by the in-house redistricting "Committee" (Supervisors Haggerty & Carson) that her district was not being impacted by redistricting.

It certainly won't surprise me if/when the Board of Supervisors grants Mr Duenas request given the way they gerrymandered, I mean protected, Ms Lockyear's former District during the redistricting process.

Please for God sake we need a supervisor who is fair, smart, intelligent, caring, honest and professional for the district instead of some of race crap. For the record I am from minority background but I don't care what race is supervisor as long as they have the above qualities. Ms Gaile Steele has proven record who seemed to care for all backgrounds which includes Latinos so why this stupid idiot allowed to show ignorance after the crap we had to deal in our district recently.
