Downtown is a little boring
Around Town, posted by Derek, a resident of the Mission Park neighborhood, on May 7, 2012 at 5:34 pm

Downtown Pleasanton is definitely not very kid-teen friendly. Sure, once a month there are street fairs(which rock), but the rest of the month there is nothing to do. Downtown livermore has it all. 2 movie theaters, a bike store, a skate shop, wonderful restaurants, and barely any banks or nail salons. Downtown pleasanton, on the other hand, has a few good restaurants and a bike store. I think the wine store should be moved to another building and re-convert it into a movie theater, as it once was.

When all the government worker entitlement kids are passing the joint around you don't need much else. More stores will just give them a wider menu of shopliftable items. I like the wine shop where it is. It's very convenient, as the Missus and I tend to shop there every day.

It would be nice to have a movie theater but that will never happen.

We need to stop comparing Pleasanton downtown to Livermore downtown. Pleasanton's downtown is surrounded by homes, thus loud music can not take place past 10PM and all we have are restaurants. Livermore's downtown is not surrounded by hardly any homes plus they have more bars and restaurants and allow Beer and Wine festivals to take place.

It sucks but oh well.

West Coast Observer: umm no. Are you supporting the use of pot with kids? No offence dude, but what your saying is bogus.

Yah But No: I agree with you. well, off to downtown livermore!
